About Us

ROOTS

Founded in August of 2013, Troop 2908 started very small and has transformed over time. We were founded on acceptance and love of our sisters. We began with just two leaders and five girls, grew to have six leaders and twenty-three girls. We have spun off two new troops, and are back to a small group of eight girls. These girls have always been filled with a passion for helping others. They strive to assist those in need and to have fun learning about the community and world they live in. We have big plans for the upcoming years so be on the look out for our service projects, fundraisers, and outings!

PURPOSE

Here at Girl Scout Troop 2908, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all, while growing and enjoying the good things in life. We come together as a group of independent strong young women who originate and execute plans to spread happiness and goodwill to all, while building confidence in ourselves through adventures and activities. We strive to support our local brothers and sisters in their non-profit and charitable organizations as well.

Making the World a Better Place

One Girl Scout at a time.

Girl Scout Troop 2908 is in the business of changing and shaping our community, while developing strength and determination in our young ladies. The work we do is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We empower our scouts by creating opportunities for them to make positive change in their communities, working alongside other non-profits to support those in need. Our girls enjoy supporting public servants, veterans, animals, children, and elderly.

Giving Back to our Seniors

With this initiative, our goal is to reconnect with those who may feel a social disconnect. We share love by visiting assisted living and nursing homes with our handmade cards and gifts while spreading cheer around the Holidays with song and festive decorations.

Radiating Love in our Community

As we strive to make the world a better place and be a sister to every girl scout, we are mindful of those less fortunate and work to support organizations that help our youth that are in trouble or suffer.  We also spread motivations, cheer and love through Crossville Rocks' traditions.

Non-profit Support

With huge hearts our young women strive to support as many other non-profits that they identify as a community need. We have drives for needed supplies, clothes, and foods throughout the year for various local non-profits.
In this photo they are presenting a check for the funds they raised for Manna Hana Riding Center's Camp Hana Program; which is for Veterans in need of equine assisted therapy.
