Girl Scout Troop 2908 is dedicated to putting our Crossville community first. Our Take-action Projects will always focus on local needs within the county and occasionally a neighboring county.
In the past we have held many drives to collect needed items for many other non-profits. Sometimes we will create something to sell and raise funds to support or create scholarships for other programs as we did with our Veteran's Day Baskets which generated money to send to the Equine Assisted Therapy Program for Veterans at Manna's Hanna. We continue these efforts still. Lend a helping hand and join our efforts today.
Education
Helping Those Who Need Us Most
The Scouts of Girl Scout Troop 2908 have become leaders in positive change. They seek out problems and insufficiencies in our communities and immediately spring into action making a plan to correct or improve the situation. They complete hours of research to better understand how to make the positive change they want to promote, then share their knowledge. This is typically completed through their higher awards programs. Become a part of a brighter future and be a mentor for our girls. Higher Awards
The Future Looks Bright
Girls have the opportunity to complete higher awards beginning in the 4th grade. Our 4th and 5th graders are classified as Juniors and can work in groups to plan and execute a project to earn their Bronze Award. The girls who are middle school aged, in grades 6 through 8, they are Cadettes and can earn their Silver Award in groups of 4 or less. Once in High Scholl they have the opportunity to complete their Gold Award, which must be done independently. Gold Award Projects
September 2026
This is the first year we have girls old enough to work on their Gold Award and only time will tell who will be done when. The date above is the latest deadline for the newest Seniors and may change as they decide what to do and as other girls promote up. We currently are not working on any Gold Projects but will soon have several girls that may begin the planning process. Send us a message if you have a need or idea for them to assist with.
