How do I become a Girl Scout!

This is a a question that I get asked a lot. The information seems elusive and I am here to make it plain and simple for you. If you live in the Central Time Zone of Tennessee, odds are you will need to enroll in the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. The first step to take is to set up a user account in the Council Alignment program using the following link:

Remember to write down your user ID and password if it could be difficult to remember.

After that is done you have to wait a business day or two for your account to be approved. Once you have your approval, login and look for the tab that says "Girl Membership - Register a girl in your custodial care." Click on it and complete the application process. Your registration will be complete after paying the registration fee. You will soon thereafter be contacted by your respective regional executive for placement into a Troop near you.

If you need financial assistance you can; skip the payment part of registration, log out, go to https://gsmidtn.org/about-us/staff-directory/ and using your county find your regional executive's name and contact information, and finally contact them for further instructions.

If you know a Troop you'd like to join, you need to get approval from the Troop Leader, tehn note their Troop number, and include this information when in communication with your regional executive.

For those from other parts of Tennessee, here is a link to East Tennessee's Council, Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians: http://www.girlscoutcsa.org/

and a link for West Tennessee, Girl Scouts Heart of the South: http://www.girlscoutcsa.org/

And lastly for anywhere else in the continental U.S. and its territories try this link:

I hope this information was helpful and that you find a new family of girl scouts to join!
